The new Mercedes-AMG® EQE SUV

The 2024 AMG® EQE SUV is the first all-electric SUV from the performance and sports car brand AMG®. With spacious interiors and plenty of luggage, it’s the most versatile electric vehicle in the Mercedes-AMG® portfolio. The EQE SUV is based on the electric platform from Mercedes-EV. Powerful dual electric motors and a fully variable AWD make for a stellar driving experience. Additional features include the AMG® RIDE CONTROL+ air suspension with an Adaptive Damping System, rear-axle steering and AMG® ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL.

The exterior design features reduced joints and smooth transitions giving the car a sporty look with a number of AMG®-specific features like the AMG® black panel radiator grille with hot-stamped chrome vertical struts, integrated Mercedes star and “AMG®” lettering. The front end has an AMG®-specific front fascia, painted in body color with a high-gloss black A-wing and chrome trim. AMG®-specific wheel arch claddings and aerodynamic AMG® alloy wheels add to the car’s stunning accents. 

The interior seats feature individual patterns and premium upholstery in MB-Tex. Leather seat upholstery is optionally available with AMG®-specific seat patterns. The branding is highlighted with the AMG® badge on the backrests and the embossed AMG® emblems. A twin-spoke performance steering wheel and integrated buttons balance stability with lightness. The steering wheel controls have brilliant displays and allow the driver to ensure easy access to important driving functions and drive programs. The menus on the left steering wheel button can be configured via the Multimedia Touch Display or in the optional Hyperscreen.

The MBUX Hyperscreen is an optional add-on to the AMG® EQE SUV. The large, curved screen unit extends from A-pillar to A-pillar sporting three screens that sit under a single glass cover. MBUX adapts to the driver and is designed to personalize infotainment, comfort and vehicle functions. The Dolby Atmos® sound takes the audio experience in the AMG® EQE SUV to a new level. 

The powerful electric powertrain (eATS) features fully variable 4MATIC®+ all-wheel drive, which optimizes drive power transmission to the road in all driving conditions. The motors are characterized by an optimal balance of power increase, efficiency, and noise comfort. The motor on the rear axle is mighty powerful thanks to its six-phase design, based on two windings with three phases each. The electric-specific system ensures a significantly faster response than a mechanical all-wheel drive system. The torque is checked 160 times per second and adjusted if necessary. The torque distribution depends on the pre-selected drive program. In “Comfort” mode the focus is on maximum efficiency, while in “Sport” and “Sport+” torque is rear-biased to allow for greater lateral dynamics.

MICHELIN Pilot Sport EV MO1 tires, specifically adapted to the requirements of the all-electric AMG® Performance vehicles, also contribute to the vehicle’s dynamic character. Available for both 21- and 22-inch wheels, the tires feature low rolling resistance combined with exceptional levels of grip on wet and dry roads.
