Mercedes-Benz of Manhattan Loaner Vehicle Policies
We offer loaner vehicles to all Mercedes-Benz of Manhattan customers for factory warranty and maintenance repairs during the factory warranty period, regardless of where their Mercedes-Benz was purchased.
We request that you follow a few basic policies while driving your Mercedes-Benz loaner vehicle:
- Due to insurance regulations, you must be at least 25 years of age to operate a loaner vehicle.
- Loaner cars are limited to 100 miles a day and are only permitted to be driven in NY, NJ, CT, & PA.
- You must have full insurance coverage which is primary on the car while in your possession.
- Inspect the vehicle before leaving the dealership
- Fuel used must be replenished.
- All toll payments/violations, parking tickets, flat tires and accident damage incurred while using the loaner car is the responsibility of the driver.
- All loaner drivers will need to present a valid US driver’s license and up-to-date proof of insurance. Name on the Driver’s license and insurance documents must match
- Smoking, drinking, eating, or pets in the vehicle is prohibited.
- All Mercedes-Benz of Manhattan loaner vehicles are subject to availability.

Do I need an appointment when bringing my car in for service?
A: We recommend that any service (other than an emergency) should be scheduled through an appointment. This will help ensure your service is performed as quickly as possible.
Is there alternate transportation available?
A: Yes. We offer complimentary ride share services within Manhattan upon request. As a courtesy to our clients, we provide a loaner car by appointment. How do I find out the status of my car while it is in for service?
A: Your Service Advisor will provide you with updates including service needs, estimated time of completion, and any other information needed to maintain your vehicle by the communication method you prefer. Service Advisors are very familiar with your car and will be glad to answer any questions you may have regarding your vehicle. Your Service Advisor is the most important contact while your car is being serviced. Many Service Advisors have been working with the same clients for years, building and developing relationships of mutual respect and trust.
Does Mercedes-Benz Manhattan sell tires?
A. Yes, we have competitive pricing on all OEM spec tires (MO) with complimentary* 2-Year Road Hazard Insurance. (*Customer pays installation charges, 100% for the first year and 50% in the second year.)
If I lose my car keys, how do I get a replacement at Mercedes-Benz of Manhattan?
A. Replacement keys are ordering using the vehicle identification number. Mercedes-Benz guidelines require to verify ownership, therefore, please bring proof of ownership (such as vehicle registration or title) and a valid US governmental identification. Keys are not returnable, so all key orders are prepaid. Vehicle must be present at dealership to verify ownership and key programming.
