2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV

The 2023 EQS SUV is the latest to join Mercedes’ growing lineup of electric models. It’s the first luxury SUV built on Mercedes’ modular electric vehicle platform. The all-electric 2023 EQS is the SUV alternative to the company’s luxury sedan. The two share a similar platform, with components and identical wheelbases. With additional headroom, the interior feels more spacious with a top-of-the-line design and material quality for a high-end attractive look. The lineup includes the rear-drive, 355-hp EQS 480+ and the all-wheel-drive, 536-hp EQS 580, both of which we expect to have at least 300 miles of estimated range.

The EQS SUV is built on the sedan chassis with an elevated seating position and more interior space, with a similar electric powertrain. The EQS 450+ features a 335-hp electric motor while the EQS 580 produces 536 horsepower and 633 pound-feet of torque. The EQS is equipped with an adjustable air suspension and a rear-axle steering system for a nimble driving experience. The SUV features an Off-Road drive mode that raises the suspension and alters the powertrain’s behavior. The EQS sports the same 107.8-kWh battery pack as the EQS sedan, which is EPA-rated at between 340 and 350 miles of range.

The EQS interior features materials and equipment that have come to define the modern-day Mercedes-Benz as a symbol of luxury and comfort. The features include ambient lighting, heated and ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, and a panoramic sunroof. The EQS cabin is designed with ample storage space, including a large container below the floating center console. The EQS comes standard with two rows of seats that accommodate five passengers, and an optional third-row which adds seating for a total of seven people.

The SUV can be equipped with a massive 56-inch Hyperscreen, which stretches across the full dashboard width. It hosts a 17.7-inch touchscreen that’s primarily responsible for infotainment functions, plus a 12.3-inch touchscreen in front of the passenger. A digital gauge cluster and a 12.8-inch portrait-style touchscreen are alternative options to the Hyperscreen. Every EQS SUV comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Burmester audio system, and wireless device charging.

The EQS comes with all standard driver assistance technology. Ordinary safety equipment, such as adaptive cruise control and automatic high beams are coupled with a self-parking feature. Key safety features also include (1) Standard forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking (2) Standard lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist and (3) Standard blind-spot monitoring.

All in all, the EQS promises an experience that is sure to delight its intended audience. Come see us today for all of your car buying and maintenance needs.
