To help manage choice complexity, Mercedes-EV has chosen to offer the EQS Sedan in three trim levels: Premium, Exclusive, and Pinnacle. Each trim builds upon the previous level offering progressively adding EQ-specific technology and upscale features. The standard package comes outfitted with a progressive interior including a 12.8″ OLED multimedia touchscreen display for the EQS 450+. The 580 4MATIC® Sedan steps it up a notch with the MBUX Hyperscreen, offering three displays merged seamlessly under a single 56-inch curved glass surface. All trims come equipped with the latest MBUX system which offers a new level of usability and ease of navigation.
In keeping with the trend of introducing intelligence where it matters, Mercedes-Benz has developed a user interface with context-sensitive awareness, which displays the right functions at the right time. The system ‘learns and gets smarter with use and is continually optimized with use. It also takes into account changes in surroundings. The system supports multiple MBUX profiles that can be synchronized with the existing profile data from the Mercedes me account. This is all aimed at helping you make the car yours with minimal effort. The highlight of the new navigation system is built-in Electric Intelligence. This EQ-specific system optimizes for the fastest and most efficient route, considering charging stops, and dynamically adapts to traffic pattern changes or subtle differences in driving style. The range calculator in this new lineup dynamically computes energy demand and balances that in real-time with what’s required for the route. It takes into account a multitude of factors like topography, route, ambient temperature, speed, heating, and cooling requirements to make the best decision possible.
The enhanced active and passive driver assistance systems are included as a standard for the EQS. The adaptive system can automatically maintain its speed and preset distance to the traffic in front as well as stay in its lane on multi-lane roads, and will adjust vehicle speed based on traffic. The all-electric architecture has opened up new design possibilities to maximize utility while balancing that with passenger safety. The EQS sports a stylish exterior and easily stands apart from the competition. The sedan comes standard with a power tilt and sliding panorama roof with two modules that together form a large glass surface. In a nutshell, leading with stylish looks and powered by cutting-edge technology in a sleek package the EQS promises an experience that is sure to delight its intended audience.
The fully electric 2022 EQS Sedan will arrive at U.S. dealerships in the fall of 2021 and marks a new era for the brand as the first model of the new Mercedes-EV rollout in North America.
