All about the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB

Built for those who are looking for an environmentally responsible yet powerful SUV the EQB offers a lot in a small package.
The new MB EQB recently revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show is the electric equivalent of the GLB class SUV. Though the MB unveiling focused on a model built in China and aimed at the Chinese market, it’s widely expected to debut a very similar version aimed at Europe and North America. The 2023 model year vehicle is expected to ship in late 2022.

MB has put some effort into differentiating the styling from the GLB with model-specific wheels and a different rear end. The EQB will share its powertrain and battery components with the EQA, and both are likely to share chassis components with the GLA and GLB-class SUVs. The entry-level model will be the EQB250, which will come with a 221-hp electric motor and front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive may be optional and a more powerful EQB350 might be on the cards as well. The EQB may come equipped with the 66.5-kWh battery which powers the EQA although a more powerful, larger battery pack can’t be ruled out. A minimum driving range of 200 miles is required to compete with rivals from competitors. The spacious interior accommodates five passengers in two rows with an optional third row, although adults won’t find it comfortable.
