The 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

The Sprinter is a comfortable workhorse that caters to a wide audience. With a lot of flexibility to configure as needed, it can check the boxes for a fully equipped work van or take you on your next outdoor adventure. The Sprinter is offered in three four-cylinder engine options—two turbo diesel and a turbocharged gasoline engine—each comes with a smooth-shifting nine-speed automatic transmission. The Sprinter can be customized to include a dual-rear-wheel axle and varying roof heights with three distinct body styling: cargo, crew, and passenger. The technology package includes a 10.3-inch touchscreen and driver assistance packages found in other vehicles in the Mercedes-Benz family. The spacious interior provides ample room to build out and customize for your needs.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The 2023 Sprinter vans have three engine choices. The standard powertrain is a 188hp turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine delivering 258-lb-ft of torque. The two other options consist of a 168hp turbo diesel four-cylinder with 295 lb-ft of torque and a 208hp twin-turbo diesel with 332 lb-ft of torque. All three options use a nine-speed automatic transmission. RWD is standard and AWD is available as an option.

Interiors and Cargo Capacity
The Sprinter has a much more refined interior compared to its full-size competitors. Mercedes-Benz has put a lot of effort into lowering cabin noise which makes long trips much more comfortable and a pleasant experience for everyday use. The Sprinter has fantastic seats with good lumbar support to ensure your back is in good shape after hours behind the wheel; a Swivel Seat package is available as an option as well. The Sprinter has almost 53o cubic feet of interior space in its Cargo versions. The passenger Sprinter with the 144-inch wheelbase seats 12 comfortably while the 170-inch wheelbase version can accommodate 15 people.

Infotainment and Connectivity
The 2023 Sprinter comes with minimal in-cabin entertainment options as it is typically not a high priority for the intended usage scenarios.  The base audio system is a standard AM/FM radio with a small LCD screen, Bluetooth®, and a USB-C port. The Premium package includes an updated system with a 7.0-inch touchscreen, while the Premium Plus package includes a 10.3-inch screen, navigation, and a wireless phone-charging pad. Optional packages also include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot.
