Q) Will sitting in traffic drain the EQS battery?
A) No, the battery is not in use when you’re in gridlock. Slow to moderate traffic is not a problem either — as regenerative braking supplies energy to the battery.

Q) What is the battery range of an EQS Sedan?
A) The average range on the Mercedes-EV is 340 – 350 miles.*
Q) Does the EQS battery have a warranty?
A) The EQS Sedan comes equipped with a Battery Warranty. It is applicable to a term of ten years or up to a mileage of 155,000 miles.
Q) Does weather impact the Mercedes-EQS battery performance?
A) Temperatures of less than -30° C and above 55° C, which act on the vehicle for more than 5 days can result in irreversible damage to the battery.
Q) Does inactivity affect the Mercedes-EV battery?
A) The vehicle may not be shut down with a discharged high-voltage battery for more than 14 days as this can cause further battery damage.
Q) What type of maintenance does the EQS Sedan require?
A) Maintaining scheduled Service A and Service B service is important to ensure the safety and performance of your vehicle. Check your EQS owner’s manual or contact a Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Service Rep for more information.
Q) What are the safety systems within an Mercedes-EV battery?
A) The EQS Sedan is equipped with an interlock system which opens up in the event of an accident. The interlock system disables the high voltage system which is controlled by the Supplemental Restraint System or the SRS control module for short — for vehicle and driver safety.
